Analysis of Women's Role

Women lived as if they wern't equal to men. They were sometimes denied of an education and had no hope of being equal. Women and young girls were confined in the house and contact with men was very limited. Girls got married shortly after they hit puberty close to age 15, and most men were almost twice their age. They were seperated from their father and had to stay home and take care of the children. The young wife was to stay in the womens quater of the house was not even aloud to eat with her husband and his male friends. Though Spartan women were aloud more freedom, they got to take part in athleticsbe involved in business and could own land. They were also aloud to run their own households since their husbands were rarely home.
